Interests
Photography
My interest in photography dates back to 1935 when my mother “bought” me a 620 Box Brownie camera, using Black & Green tea labels. Since then I have had a number of cameras culminating in my latest acquisition in 2002 of a Minolta Dimage 7Hi Digital camera.
I was Secretary of the Customs & Excise Camera Club for a few years before my retirement in 1983, at which time I joined Sutton Camera Club. I have served the latter club in a number of capacities, some concurrently. I was appointed as one of their Vice Presidents in 2002 but am currently continuing in the capacity of Editor. My greatest interest, for many years, has been producing “Slide with Sound” or “Audio Visual” presentations. I have been using digital projection for this purpose since the beginning of 2002 and was made a Licentiate of the Royal Photographic Society for my efforts. It was the first such an award by the RPS using digital projection. I am leader of the Sutton Camera Club AV Group.
